Do I need foiling experience?

No. Every Foil Drive lesson in Bali is private and starts from zero. The electric assist does the hard part, so most people are up and flying in their first session.

Where do the lessons take place?

On calm, flat water at a protected launch site near our base at Pantai Kelan, Jimbaran. No waves to fight while you learn.

Is there a weight limit?

Yes. Riders need to be below 110 kg, a confident swimmer and fit with no medical conditions.

What is Foil Drive?

Foil Drive is an electric assist system for hydrofoiling, designed in Australia. A small motor sits on the foil mast and a handheld throttle controls it, so you get onto the foil at low speed without a boat or a wave.

How is Foil Drive different from an eFoil?

An eFoil runs on the motor the whole time. Foil Drive only assists you onto the foil, then you ride with your own pumping, a wave or the wind. It is the closest thing to real foiling.

Which package should I choose?

First Flight (60 minutes) is a first taste. Standard Lesson (90 minutes) gives you time to reach sustained flight and is the most popular. Extended Lesson (2 hours) is for longer flights and more turns. If you want to foil in waves, take the Progression Pack.
